Legends of Cascadon
Chapter Seven - Uncles
There are two gods of which no one truly knows their origin: Kittik and Sesek. But Kittik and Sesek are as old as Viedonna, at least, so they must have come from the creation of the universe. Most theologians believe that Kittik was a natural reaction to the universe’s bent towards order. Because so much was balanced, the order had to balance itself with something, creating chaos. This is the best theory anyone has come up with, since the god himself is so hard to pin down. Kittik often forgets things, and often does things for no reason, or for a reason he’s forgotten. That being said, he is probably the most powerful deity of them all, if he could just focus long enough to do anything.
Sesek, on the other hand, is a total unknown. Theories range from him being born out of the void created by Aisha’s death, to Sesek being older than the universe itself. Whatever the origin, Sesek is certainly powerful and cunning. Above all other gods, does Sesek love humans. After Madock crafted them, Sesek snuck into the place where they were made, and added a feature. Already the humans had to endure the growth of their teeth, but Sesek made it happen twice. Because Sesek is the God of Suffering. Pain and fear are forms of suffering which humans excel in both causing and enduring. This makes humans the perfect worshipers for Sesek. He made the humans teeth twice, because he wanted to remind them of his love – his cold, endless, love. And his ultimate goal is to make humans immortal, that they might suffer forever. As a result, he is the god of healing as well.
